What are some common signs of leach line failure?
Leach fields and septic tanks both have finite life spans, usually somewhere around 30 years, depending on usage, soil condition, original leach field materials used (e.g. clay vs. plastic pipe). Several signs of leach line failure may be present. If you have effluent surfacing in the yard near the leach field or have patches of very lush grass growing over the leach fields, you may have a failure or leach line blockage. Additionally, you may experience slower draining tubs or slower flushing toilets. Though these signs may also reflect blockages within the household plumbing and not the leach lines, you should contact us to take a look and help you determine what exactly is causing the situation. |
